PolicyOptions, a life settlement brokerage based in Irvine, Calif., said it has acquired the life settlement division of Golden Gateway Financial.
Eric Bachman, chief executive of Golden Gateway, based in Oakland, Calif., told The Life Settlements Wire that the deal closed at the end of June.
He declined to say whether his life settlement employees would be absorbed by PolicyOptions, or any other details of the transaction, referring all questions to PolicyOptions. Rick Johnson, president of PolicyOptions, was not immediately available for comment.
Bachman said Golden Gateway would remain in the reverse mortgage business, however.
